John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts - Washington D.C. , USA - Today known as The Kennedy Center
This project actually began nearly a decade earlier, with a design Friedl Bakalowits created alongside his award winning Miracle light — the “Miracoloso”. Without knowing it at the time, this design became the foundation for the lighting installation Bakalowits was later commissioned to develop and produce.
What started as an experimental design quietly evolved into the basis of one of our most significant architectural lighting projects in the USA.

The honour of contributing to such a historic occasion left a lasting imprint on the house. In recognition of this moment, Bakalowits renamed the entire lighting family the Emperor Series—a tribute to the event and to the bond it represents.
To this day, the chandelier continues to be produced with the same reverence, carrying forward the legacy of that extraordinary commission.
